Blippar Ranks 19th on CNBC's Disruptor 50 List

Blippar, world’s first visual recognition platform specifically engineered for mobile phones and tablets, is listed at the 19th place on CNBC‘s traditional Disruptor 50 list (which also includes companies such as Uber, Airbnb, Dropbox, Spotify) this year.

Being listed in the Disruptor 50 means that these companies will evolve into billion-dollar companies in the coming years, by means of capturing a niche business segment through their visionary characteristics.

The only companies that will achieve being listed under the Disruptor 50 are companies that are revolutionary in their own business sectors, within a range of 16 different business sectors, from space technologies to finance, cyber security to retail. It seems very likely that these companies, who managed to create a new ecosystem for their products and/or services, may dethrone the big technology giants.
